Fame & Shame Awards

2009 Fame & Shame Awards

The 2010 Fame & Shame Awards are your opportunity to tell Australia's food manufacturers that you are fed up with unhealthy food and drink marketing targeting children.

We are calling on you to tell us about any food and drink advertising or promotional campaigns you have seen this year which target children. You can nominate a marketing campaign that promotes unhealthy food or drinks to children in an unethical or misleading manner. OR nominate a food promotion that encourages healthy eating in a fun and appealing way, for the Parents' Choice Award.

Click here to nominate in the 2010 Fame & Shame Awards.

Examples of marketing campaigns include:

  • TV, radio and print advertising
  • in-store promotions
  • on-pack competitions and giveaways
  • food websites or games
  • viral marketing
  • sports sponsorship/endorsements, or
  • promotions within schools

Now in their sixth year, the Fame & Shame Awards is our flagship advocacy project, which aims to raise awareness of the persuasive and sometimes misleading techniques that advertisers use to promote unhealthy foods and drinks to children.

We are taking your nominations throughout 2010, with the winners to be announced at the end of the year.
